Superhero

Let me start of by saying that the picture for this post, called Superhero, refers to Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy. This week’s short writing revolves on being human while working towards a life purpose. Now that I have presented this premise the complementary picture brings quite the irony. Read, reflect, and enjoy.

Superhero

When I watch superhero television shows,

I sometimes get frustrated.

The hero works toward saving the day

But ends up getting distracted by feelings.

Superheroes succumb to human feelings.

They are not robots,

Unless they are robots.

Then, that is a different discussion.

I digress,

While I continue to confess.

I turn off the television

And work on my vision.

Focused on my mission.

I do not have superpowers,

But I want to save the world my way.

My problem is that feelings get in the way.

I guess being human is the price I pay.
