Gold Mine

Gold Mine

This week’s writing , Gold Mine, connects to a previous post called Bigfoot. Gold Mine extends on Bigfoot by expanding on the various gold nuggets of information we can learn from people who have big influences in our lives. This writing does not require too much digging, but I still hope you will dig it. I apologize for making that cheesy sentence, but I cannot resist an opportunity for some good old wordplay. Always keep learning and reading!

Gold Mine

I wandered around the forest

And found big footprints laced with gold.

I followed these big footprints one after another

Until I found myself in a cave.

At first I was not sure what was exactly in this cave

But I was curious to check it out.

So, I turned on a lit a torch.

When the light illuminated the cave,

The walls of the cave covered in gold.

This gold mine went on and on.

I wished to take all of the gold

But I could only take as much that I could grab.

Once I had my hands full of gold,

I ambled out of the cave.

On the way back to my house

I lost some of the treasure fell out of my hands.

When I reached my house,

I had less gold than I intended

But more than I had before.
