Can You Dish It?

Can You Dish It?

When I think about areas of life, I have a tendency to make comparisons to cooking. Today’s food for thought analogy dives into this area with Can You Dish It? Read. Reflect. Connect.

Can You Dish It?

The meal begins at the preparation stage.

The cook uses the knife and cutting board while prepping the ingredients.

At the same time, water boils in a pot nearby.

All the ingredients join the necessary dishes.

The marinara sauce paints the sauce pan red.

The pasta softens in the pot of water.

The vegetable medley sizzles in the fry pan.

Then, all of the ingredients join together on a plate for the final meal form.

After eating the meal, the dishes go either to the sink or the dishwasher.

In either option the dishes may be cleaned either right away or after some time.

Either way the dishes still need to be taken of before moving to the next meal.

As with cooking, the choices in life can be messy.

Each choice comes with its own form of consequences.

The positive and negative ones.

When this happens, you can take care of the consequence right away for moving forward in life.

There is another path of ignoring or avoiding the consequence of the choice.

The latter option keeps life crusted with what lingers every day.

What dishes of life are holding you back from moving forward?
