The Road
During these unsettling times, I plan on continuing to post every Tuesday on Sconnie Scribe. If anyone needs something to read during these times, feel free to check out old, new, and upcoming writing posts for the blog. I have touched upon this theme of familiarity and practice affecting approaching skills and experiences again before in another post. Yet, life has a tendency to bring up patterns which in retrospect show themes in our lives. Keep this in mind when you read this week’s writing, The Road. Enjoy and be safe everyone!
The Road
When I went down this road the first time,
The darkness of night covered the path.
I was trying to read the map as best as I could by myself.
I did not know the stories of the houses as we drove by them.
The music was turned down for better vision.
I was so focused on the final destination.
When I went down the road the next time,
The brightness of the sun guided the path.
This time I had a person who knew the way.
I found out about the stories of those living along the road.
I had the music playing while singing with it.
I was focused on enjoying the moment.
What will the road be like next time?
