When you plug a cord into an electrical outlet, you would like it to work immediately. No delays or disruptions of any kind.

Then, you find an outlet which does not work right away. It may simply not work… or there may another reason.

The other option may be that a switch needs to be turned on for the outlet to function properly.

You could either wait for a perfect moment or have the cord plugged in ready for the outlet to have the corresponding switched turn on.

A similar process occurs for working toward any dreams or goals. You could solely wait for a perfect moment to happen. Otherwise, you can prepare with what is within your control until the right opportunity appears to give your best effort.

Your input and timing will end up having an effect on the output of the outlet.
