Do you do something that signals the end of the day for you? It could be music, a show, or end of the day snack. Today’s focus of this week’s post, Released, is just that feeling or way people allow themselves to signal to themselves the switch from work to relaxing. Although some people’s work for them is relaxing if they are following a passion of theirs, they still need time to find a way to rest and recover for optimal performance in their given area. Read and connect.

I wake up in the morning and put on my watch.
It’s my sign that the time to be in the zone for the day is set.
Here I go ticking off the items on my list for the day.
At times I want to stop but then see my watch.
The time says otherwise.
There is much still to do,
And I can still feel the weight of the watch on my arm weighing me down from getting off track.
The peace that comes through knocking off the items on my list gets me back on track.
As the end of the day approaches,
Another wave of peace rolls my way.
I unclasped my watch and put it on a shelf until the morning arrives.
Now I will let my mind unwind and recover for tomorrow.
