Recharge
I remember watching a cartoon when I was in grade school about the younger characters becoming worried that their teacher was a robot all due to him saying he had to charge his batteries. All the teacher meant was that he needed to basically recover his energy for the day. One of the key areas of self-care is being aware of your own energy levels and recharge in whatever way works for you to properly take on the entire day. This week’s post Recharge touches upon this topic of energy levels of people. Read, reflect, and connect.
Recharge
The day has started charged.
The next step is to take on the day.
Go out into the world,
And knock out the daily tasks.
A quarter way through the day
And the level is already halfway.
It is time to plug in and be recharged.
No, I am not talking about a person’s phone.
I am talking about a person in their day.
The way to recharge varies person to person.
Sometimes that can be a quick nap to gain energy for the rest of the day.
Meditation may be your way to getting back on track for the day.
Other times a way to regain energy is through completing an enjoyable activity.
Trying to take on the day on less than a quarter in the energy tank can sufficient,
But that level may not necessarily be proficient.
The option is getting through the day or conquering it.
Be mindful if you need a recharge for the day.
