People
We cannot see every person who we have met each and every day. Some people move away. Others attend a new school. Some people join a new team. No matter how much people want to grow, sometimes that means leaving those who have moved from strangers to friends to family. August is a time of meeting new people or those whom we have known for years which prompted me to write the following blurb called “People.”
People
I don’t like people,
Because I like people.
Let me elaborate.
Isn’t it strange
How strangers become friends
And eventually family?
Each person is unique.
A falling piece of precipitation
Accumulating into society.
I try my best to build myriads of sturdy bridges,
So that I can walk into new worlds
And see that the world does not revolve around me.
Each person has a role in my life,
But they have their own story to lead.
Our stories intertwine and unravel in a blink.
No more to be seen or heard without effort.
Now inside jokes
Reside in my mind.
Yet, the memories of old
Tattooed on my mind forever.
I don’t like people,
Because I do like people.
