Balance

Balance

The post from two weeks ago with dry stone walls focused on team balance through culture and rapport. The post for this week focuses on individual life balance. This week’s post Balance brings my mind to what I first learned about a fresh way of thinking over the balance of one’s life through book The Passion Paradox by Brad Stulberg and Steve Magness. I highly recommend the checking out and giving The Passion Paradox a read. Furthermore, Balance will compare life balance in relation to stacked rocks on top of each other. Read. Reflect. Connect.

Balance

Life balance is not a cookie cutter format.

Life balance is more like a balance of rocks.

One rock tower may have a strong base.

On that same rock tower, part way up the tower the shape may start to change.

Instead of a pyramid shape the new form becomes staggered.

What looks shaky to some is table for others.

The bigger rock rests on top of the smaller one

Making a delicate structure holding the tower in place.

One person’s life balance can vary from another person’s version of balance.

Others may have the top half of their tower of life could have the same exact shape all the way.

At the same time, others have more staggered, varied tasks comprising the teetering of their life.

Furthermore, the height of the rocks can differ slightly or greatly.

Those responsibilities of life are a mixture of the easy and difficult.

The level of ease is dependent on the person, perspective, emotional state, and support.

Thus, do your best not to forget to check on what the balancing act of your own tower of tasks.
